CMR Community Working Group Meeting – 19MAR2020 Ft. Peck
The Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge (CMR NWR) Community Working Group will meet on March 19th in Ft. Peck at the Ft. Peck Interpretive Center from 10:00AM to 3:00PM.
Building off the January meeting that discussed brucellosis and feral swine impacts, the March 19th CMR CWG meeting will cover wildlife and wildlife diseases as it relates to our local communities. Join us as we hear presentations on Chronic Wasting Disease, the MT FWP Deer/ Elk Management Plan, and more. Speakers represent MT Fish, Wildlife, & Parks; Bureau of Land Management; and MT Dept. of Transportation. Regional Director of the US Fish & Wildlife Service, Noreen Walsh, and Refuge Supervisor, Lisa Talcott, will join the CMR CWG from Colorado. The audience will have an opportunity to engage in a Q & A with all presenters and guest speakers. The public is encouraged to attend and provide input as the group seeks to influence the vitality and sustainability of the 6-county region surrounding the CMR NWR.
